Phantasmical Contraptions and More Errors has been published. This one includes my story “A Position of Power”, a steampunk story set in a very alternative Buenos Aires around the turn of the 20th century.
I really like this one, and I hope you do, too. Link here.
Definitely feeling like a writer today. Not only am I at WorldCon in Chicago, but I also got a story acceptance (about which more when contract is signed). Best of all, however, Every Day Fiction has published my evil little tale “Good Girl”.
It’s a very quick read, and I’ve placed the link here. The nice thing about EDF is that you can rate the story and leave comments (always useful if you hate it!).
My flash piece Memory Vault, part of the Odin Chronicles, is available to read at Stupefying stories (and if that one intrigues you, there are a bunch of other stories by several authors in a similar vein on the site).
Here’s something fun that I missed. My story “Going for Peanuts” is up at Anotherealm. It’s kind of an evil take on the saying “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.
Or maybe it isn’t, but it IS evil, and I had a blast writing it. Link here!
I’ve been sitting on a couple of story sales, but contracts have been signed so I can announce that my story “Topside” will be appearing in Tangle and Fen, while my tale “Bridge Over the Cunene” is scheduled to appear in Dark Moon Digest.
Fun stuff for a Monday? Why not? Hyphenpunk’s Summer 2022 Issue is out. This one contains my story “A Raft of Questions” which is a hopeful eco-story with a weird twist.
Here’s a fun cover reveal. I don’t write a ton of fiction that could appear in a Furry antho, but this is an exception. Roar 11 – cover below – will contain my story “Boiler Room Beasties”.
This one is classic Sword and Sorcery in the style of Robert E. Howard. It’s a series of stories that link together to form a single narrative which follows the adventures of Sangr of the frozen North, as he evolves from thief to adventurer to avenger, aided only by his wits and his sword.
It’s adventure fiction in the traditional mold, and I firmly believe everyone who reads it will be entertained. And if not… well, that’s what the comments are for!
My cool news for today (although I admit I’m sitting on some acceptances because I don’t have the contracts signed yet) is that the Antho A Summer of Sci-fi and Fantasy has been published. This one contains my story “Going Cold”, and I’ve linked here.
