Monsters! There’s a first time for everything, and this is my first ever monster novel. It’s entitled , and I absolutely love the cover which Severed Press has put together for it. I did promise to bore everyone with the press releases about the Jim Baen Memorial Award Finalists, so here they are. What I like most is that I’m the only writer from outside the US on that list.
Last year, I was a top ten finalist for the Jim Baen Memorial Award. It made my day, my week and my writing year, so you can imagine how chuffed I was a couple of weeks ago to learn that I’m a finalist again this year… and how awful it was to be unable to share with you.
But now I have the green light to announce that a story of mine (not at liberty to release the title yet) is a top ten finalist for the Jim Baen Memorial Award… And I’m extremely happy! (also, if any of my friends are also finalists, let me know!)
I’ll likely be inundating this feed with the various press releases forthcoming about this

Every Day Fiction is probably the place where most stories of mine have appeared. To date, 20 of my flash pieces have been published there. This makes me proud because it took me a while when I was starting to break in, and they are still very rigorous when it comes to selecting stories.
