Here’s a bit of coolness: the anthology, Sherlock Holmes: a Year of Mystery 1882, which contains my story “The Purity of the Turf” has been published. My first attempt at a Sherlock Holmes story!

Cover reveal for The Malakiad, coming soon from Dark Owl Press. This is a humorous fantasy novel in which we reveal what it was really like to be a Greek hero, and also the unfortunate truth about why the name of Kopulus, the greatest of the Greek heroes, has only reached us through indirect means…
Plus, a pink sea monster.
As I know everyone is going to want to read this one, I promise to let you know as soon as it’s available!
But first, that cover…

Anotherealm has announced its stories for this year. One story per month, and my tale “Going for Peanuts” which is dark humor of a kind I really enjoy, is slated for April.
I’ll let you guys know when it comes up. It will give you a nice chuckle if your sense of humor runs to the dark end of the spectrum.

Sale! Contract signed, so I can announce that my story “Going Cold” has sold to the anthology “Summer of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.”
I assume this will be a mandatory beach read next year ![]()
Most times, the sales I celebrate most are the ones that pay most. But some magazines become an objective. Today, I am delighted to announce that, after years and years of trying, I’ve sold a story to Andromeda Spaceways Magazine.
This is something I’ve wanted to do forever, and now that it’s finally happened, I’m ecstatic.
So why was this mag so important to me? Well, back when I started writing, they had the best (by far) online submission system on the planet. Being in Argentina meant snailmail submissions were very tough to do (both because of huge cost, but also because most post offices don’t carry International Reply Coupons). So ASIM’s author-friendly sub system put it at the top of my list.
The story is entitled “The Geezer Express”, and its sale has allowed me to cross off one of my bucket-list items.

The Titanic Terastructures Anthology has launched. This one contains my novella “Land of Opportunity”, which is part of my cyberpunk cycle and is pretty much an origin story for the character that later became Sked (as seen in so many stories and as a character in two novels).
I’ll probably have to put together a collection of his adventures in a year or so when all the rights revert.
Contract signed, so I can announce that my story “To Swim Between Worlds” has sold to Utopia Science Fiction.
Happy that this one found a great home!!
My story “Christopher’s Retreat” has sold to Timber Ghost’s Flash Fiction call, which makes me happy. I’ll post details here once the story is published.
