Good news for a Monday morning? Why, yes, glad you asked! My story “Dragons with Three Billion Eyes” has sold to the wonderful mag Write Ahead / The Future Looms.
Delighted to continue the adventures of Sked and Akane there!
First review of the December edition of Future Science Fiction is up at Tangent. This one contains my story “Butterfly Blue”, and I’ve placed the link here.
The December 2020 issue of the amazing magazine Future Science Fiction is out (link here – it’s available in ebook and print). This special issue focuses on East Asia, and it’s an incredible honor to share the ToC with several authors from the region.
My story within is entitled “Butterfly Blue”. I’m particularly pleased to have made it into the single slot reserved for a writer outside the region, and feel hugely honored.
Newmyths.com issue 53 has been released. This one contains my story “Hell is the Morning Star”, which is a near future SF tale of space exploration that I think you’ll enjoy, as well as numerous other excellent stories and poems. Link to my story here.
Just learned that the anthology A Celebration of Storytelling is available for purchase. This one contains my tale “Rudrayani Comes to Ouidah” which combines Indian, African and Caribbean mythology into something new and weird. Link here.
The anthology Sunshine Superhighway has been published. This one contains the first English-language appearance of my story “Drawing the Line” (originally published in Italian), and also contains stories by quite a few of my friends. I love the theme of this one, and love being published alongside so many people whose work I admire.
Free story to read. My tale, “The Safety of Thick Walls” has been published online on Swords and Sorcery. You can read it here (and if you do, I’d love to know what you think!).
Write Ahead / The Future Looms Volume 12 has been published and, this issue, the sample story is my tale (part of a larger cycle) “Missing, Presumed Furious”. You can check it out in the link here, but most of all, I invite you to have a look because the magazine is gorgeous – it really doesn’t look like anything else on the market right now.
My story “Third Class” has sold to The Colored Lens. I’ll let everyone know when it’s published.
My story “As the World Goes by” is today’s tale at Every Day Fiction. It’s quiet but upbeat and topical to 2020. Those of you more used to my monster stories are going to notice a bit of a contrast (to put things mildly). It’s free to read, less than 1000 words and the link is in the first comment. Hope you enjoy it!
