This is a wonderful writing week. I get to share not one, but TWO covers of books I loved to write and can’t wait to see published.The Swords of Rasna is a fantasy book set in classical times, as the Etruscan League of 12 desperately fights against the growing might of the early Roman Empire.
As you can probably tell by the cover, this isn’t your grandfather’s Roman Empire!
I will, of course, let everyone know when this one is published!
Cover reveal for my next monster book from Severed Press, for Desert Base Strike. I love this cover… It’s up there with Ice Station Death as my favorite cover in the series.
So, in an incredible bit of brain fade, I forgot to report a publication from a major publisher (in my defense, I was traveling, but still).I’m delighted to report that my story “Understudy Overreach” was published in issue 98 of The Grantville Gazette.

The Fifth Di for March 2022 has been published. This one contains my story “An Elephant of a Different Color”.
I’m delighted to announce that I’m one of this year’s top 10 finalists for the Jim Baen Memorial Short Story Award. Final results will be announced later this month, so fingers crossed!

It’s been quite a week for finding reviews online. Now it’s an Italian evaluation of the Solarpunk antho. This one does say nice things about my story… but it says them in Italian!

Here’s a bit of coolness: the anthology, Sherlock Holmes: a Year of Mystery 1882, which contains my story “The Purity of the Turf” has been published. My first attempt at a Sherlock Holmes story!
