Good news for the day is that Alien Dimensions 24 has been published. This one includes my story “Culture Shock”, which is a detective story set on a far-future space station. I’ve placed the link here, and the cover below, just because I love that cover.
Contract signed, so I can announce that my story “The Best Planned Lays” has sold to the Dragon Gems anthology.
This is a humorous piece, which makes me happy as I love publishing humor, even though it’s a tough market (I am essentially impossible to offend, so I find everything funny… which is not the way to sell in today’s hyper-sensitive climate. Still, this story worked and sold almost immediately). I’ll let everyone know when it comes out!
Good news of the day is that I just sent back the contract and my story “A Truth Among Several” will be published in Swords and Sorcery.
Stupefying Stories is running a series of tales about a very different colony ship called the Brahma. I’ve written a darkly humorous piece for it entitled “Nuclear Family”, which is today’s installment.
It’s a short read, and it stands alone (though you can always read the precious stories if you like!), and I’ve linked to it here.
